Horse Show, Clifford and Michigan

Well, what do those three items have in common? Our weekend in a nutshell! I picked Wes up from school on Thursday and he was beaming with an extra bag in tow. I quickly discovered that the mysterious bag contained Clifford the Dog, the class mascot. Who knew?? So, it was Wes' turn to take Clifford home for the weekend. Lucky for Clifford we had extra room in the car on our trip to Michigan.

So, off to Michigan State University on Friday morning to watch a couple of hours of my parents horse show. I say a couple of hours because that was about all I could get out of the boys...watching the classes was a bit boring to them....unless Grandma and Grandpa were in the ring showing and I had a box of popcorn to bribe them with. I think Clifford brought G & G luck because both Mom and Dad won their respective classes while we were there! We also made sure to take pictures of Clifford doing such things as posing with the horses. We put together a nice photo page and essay on what Clifford did with us over the weekend for Wes to take back to school today.

While we were there Clifford was able to ride in the golf cart, help pick gourds and pumpkins, ride a bike with Wes, ride on some lawn tractors and have a near miss with a chipper shredder! Well, not really, I had a little fun posing Clifford in hazardous places while Wes wasn't looking. We kept those pictures at home. Chris wanted to me post a ransom for him and see what the class was willing to pay to get him back. You know..."Five thousand, or the dog gets it!"

Anyway...we had a great weekend. The weather was fantastic and the main reason why I love fall so much. We came back Sunday and put our pumpkins out at home, went for bike rides and played some backyard football. Enjoy our pictures.
